Company Culture

More Than Just an Inspection

A recent commercial inspection took two of our inspectors to Osgood, Indiana, giving them a welcome change of pace from their normal day-to-day inspection schedule. While they were there to complete a thorough commercial inspection for the client, the trip also gave them the opportunity to step outside of the usual routine, enjoy some great local barbecue, and have a little time to relax along the way.

At Champion, we believe hard work and great service can also come with opportunities to experience something different. Whether it’s traveling for a unique inspection, visiting a new area, or simply getting a break from the normal daily schedule, experiences like this are one of the many ways we enjoy the work we do.

Celebrating 15 Years of Chemo Buddies

Champion Property Inspection was proud to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Chemo Buddies, an organization that has made a meaningful impact on cancer patients and families throughout the Evansville community.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support their mission and recognize 15 years of compassion, encouragement, and service. Congratulations to Chemo Buddies on this incredible milestone!

Monroe Infrared Thermography Class

Our team attended the Monroe Infrared Thermography class to continue building our knowledge of thermal imaging and how it can be used during property inspections. This hands-on training helps us better identify temperature differences that may point to moisture intrusion, insulation concerns, electrical issues, and other conditions that may not be visible during a standard inspection.

Quarterly Newsletter: April 2026

It’s been another exciting season of growth and momentum at Champion. This quarter’s newsletter reflects our continued investment in our team, our company, and the high standard of service we provide every day.

February Company Meeting

At Champion Property Inspection, we believe strong teams build strong companies. Our recent company meeting gave us the opportunity to intentionally step away from the day to day and come together to celebrate progress, refocus on our goals, and talk through what is ahead. These meetings allow us to reflect on how we can improve, strengthen communication, and continue raising the standard for our clients and referral partners. For us, growth is not just about numbers but about clarity, accountability, and staying aligned in our vision so we can move forward together with purpose.

Our owner, Stephen Rager, generously spent hours preparing smoked plate ribs and pulled pork for the team, and it was outstanding. Just last month, he treated everyone to tomahawk steaks and brisket. What makes it meaningful is not just the food itself, but the time, effort, and intentionality behind it. Stephen creates opportunities for our team to slow down, enjoy a great meal together, and feel genuinely appreciated. Moments like this reflect the heart of our company culture.

Strategic Coach Conference

Growth doesn’t happen by accident — it happens by intention. At Champion Property Inspection, we believe leaders are lifelong learners. They continually develop new skill sets and sharpen their abilities to better serve and empower their people. A business will only grow as fast as the trust, capability, and alignment within its team.

That’s why we invest in more than individuals; we invest in our entire team. From books and seminars to conferences like Strategic Coach, we stay on the leading edge of professional and personal development. Our culture is built on the belief that our learning should always exceed our experience, because when our people grow, our company grows.

Lampion Center Chocolate Affair

The Lampion Chocolate Affair was a memorable evening filled with incredible desserts, local vendors, live entertainment, and meaningful connections throughout the community. The event brings people together to celebrate while supporting the important work of Lampion Center, which provides vital mental health and support services to children and families in our area.

We’re grateful to take part in events like this that blend fun with purpose. Investing in our community goes beyond the work we do every day — it’s about showing up, building relationships, and supporting organizations that make a lasting impact.

Horton Team Chili Cook-Off

Champion Property Inspection was proud to take part in the Horton Team’s Annual Chili Cook-Off, where our inspector Aaron Mauck earned 3rd place. Events like this are a fun way to connect with our community and support the people we’re grateful to work alongside.

Quarterly Celebration:

Closing out 2025 with honest reflection, thoughtful conversations, and planning for the year ahead. We looked at what worked, what we learned, and how we’ll continue to grow in 2026 all while sharing a great meal together. Grateful for this team and what’s ahead!

Welcoming the Newest Member of the Champion Team!

Please help us welcome Delilah, the newest addition to the Champion family. Congratulations to Noah and his family, we’re so happy for you and can’t wait to watch her grow!

Christmas Came Early!

Noah finally got his infrared camera, and he can’t wait to start using it on inspections. This tool helps us uncover hidden issues like leaks, heat loss, electrical hotspots, and more, helping us deliver the most thorough inspections possible.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Lunch

We were grateful to attend the Ugly Christmas Sweater Lunch, a fun community event that also raised money to support local loan officer Jesse Cano and his family. It was great to see so many people come together for a good cause and show their support for someone in our local community.

Thanksgiving at Keller Williams!

Grateful for community, connection, and a great time at the Keller Williams Capital Realty Thanks-For-Giving event! Always thankful to be surrounded by amazing people like Cori Catanese Walton – Keller Williams Capital Realty and Ronald Hill who continually pour into our local real estate community.

Monthly Company Meeting

Another successful company meeting in the books! We celebrated team milestones, including Jamie being named Employee of the Quarter, Jake earning his Indoor Air Quality certification, and welcoming new team members. We also celebrated Kiersten and Jake’s birthdays with ice cream cake—because at Champion, our meetings are just as much about connection and celebration as they are about growth.

Indiana Uplands Realtor Association

Champion Property Inspection and Austin Denning were proud to collaborate in supporting realtors and homeowners across southern Indiana. During the Indiana Uplands Realtor Association event, we shared how our partnership helps streamline inspections and repairs—making each transaction smoother, faster, and more reliable.

Company Celebration

We enjoyed getting together for lunch to celebrate going from Level 24 to Level 25! A simple and fun way to mark another year and spend some time together as a team.

InterNACHI 2025

We’re committed to staying on the cutting edge of the home inspection industry, and that means continuous learning and networking. This year, Owen and Stephen represented our team at the InterNACHI Conference 2025 in sunny Orlando, Florida. They dove into a range of topics, from the latest advancements in infrared technology to the use of drones in inspections. It wasn’t all classroom time, though! They also had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, including Nick and Ben Gromicko, the founders of InterNACHI. While sessions like the one on fire door testing were invaluable (yes, we even made fire doors sound fun!), we believe in a balanced approach to professional development. Learn more about the InterNACHI Conference here:

Chemo Buddies 2025

We were honored to attend the Chemo Buddies event and support an organization that continues to make such a meaningful impact in our community. It was a wonderful evening celebrating their mission, the people they serve, and the support surrounding them.

4th Quarter Meeting

The 4th Quarter meeting was filled with great content and awards for all our team members, from CCPIA for Noah to swag for our Certified Master Inspector Owen.

CCPIA Houston Conference

We invest in our team member, Noah Schnur our CPI, at the CCPIA conference in Houston, TX.  In addition to learning about hotels, he gained a lot of knowledge about multiple commercial aspects.  While there we had lots of good Texas BBQ and visited the NASA museum.

Lumiere D’Education Foundation Gala

A few members of our team were happy to attend the Lumiere D’Education Foundation gala.  Their mission is to provide free education to Haitian children and break the cycle of poverty.  It was a wonderful event and Champion Property was proud to be a sponsor of this worthy cause!

Jacob’s Village’s 12th annual Trivia Night

The Team had a great time supporting people with disabilities at Jacob’s Village’s 12th annual Trivia Night. Although we didn’t take home the championship in overall Trivia, we could however answer any question pertaining to property inspections, wood destroying insects, radon numbers, building codes, and even some Star Wars movie quotes. We will stick to what we are good at! We love supporting our local non-profits!
